Who We Are

Blue Elephant Events & Catering creates unique and memorable designer events and weddings for any budget. We are a boutique catering company that offers competitive pricing, innovative menus, table & room decor, and staffing for any party or special event. Our goal is to work with each client individually to bring ideas and budgets together to create special events that will make a lasting impression on all who attend. 

The Blue Elephant Events & Catering team will guide you through each and every detail, including menu planning, seating arrangements, floral design, favors, and more. We work with a network of southern Maine’s most experienced event professionals – florists, mixologists, cake and pastry designers, lighting designers, musicians, hair and makeup designers, providers of formal attire, and many others. Blue Elephant will work closely with you to create an elegant wedding, anniversary dinner, birthday party, Sunday brunch, business luncheon, corporate gala and any other special event that will impress your guests and fulfill your own unique vision. 

We are constantly on the lookout for new and unique spaces to offer our clients as possible venues for upcoming special events. We are proud to be the exclusive caterer for several venues in southern Maine and beyond, including The Masonic Temple of Portland, Ocean Gate Resort (Boothbay Harbor), Biddeford-Saco Country Club (Saco), and the historic 1828 Thacher-Goodale House in Saco. In addition, Blue Elephant is a preferred caterer at The Barn on Walnut Hill (Yarmouth), Highlander’s Garden (Saco), Angel of the Berwicks at Hurd Manor (North Berwick), Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens (Boothbay), and Kingsley Pines (Raymond), among many other museums, historic buildings, and other unique locations. 

Blue Elephant Events and Catering is one of just two companies in Maine to be nominated for a Catersource Achievement in Catering Excellence (ACE) Award, which is like the Oscars of catering. Blue Elephant was one of four East Region under $2 million finalists in the 2014 and 2016 ACE Awards. To quote Catersource.com, “The finalists represent the best of the best in areas including culinary, business, community and professional development.” 

Our menus are unique, innovative, and completely customizable. We avoid the “cookie cutter”. Food is our passion! Creative hors d’oeuvres, fabulous salads, local artisan breads, fresh meats, seafood, and vegetables, and wonderful desserts – let us help you create a menu that reflects your own taste and gives your guests the best of what Maine has to offer.
