Fausto and Reuben were invited to view Portland’s newest event space this week: The Salt Institute at 561 Congress Street! Founded in 1973, the Salt Institute teaches students how to become writers, photographers, and -most of all - ethical storytellers. Now located at 561 Congress Street, Salt is now available for private social and corporate rentals. Offering beautiful gallery spaces and even a/v equipment (sound system, LCD projector and screet, etc.) at extremely reasonable rates, Salt is going to a big part of Portland’s event scene. We had the pleasure of catering at the Biddeford-Saco Country Club again this week - congratulaitons to Eric and Lindsay on their wedding! The Allagash Beer Party at Victoria Mansion was a huge success, attended by over 100 guests. Blue Elephant was glad to be there, seeing old friends, and making new ones! Allagash presented donatation checks to both Victoria Manison and the St. Lawrence Arts Center for over $10,000! These funds represent proceeds from two special Allagash brews - Victor Ale and Victoria Ale -that were avaialble for sampling at the event.
