Royal Carribean Cruise Lines hosted a travel show at the Biddeford-Saco Country Club this week, bringing together more than 50 travel agents from southern Maine to talk travel and cruises. Blue Elephant was please to work with RCCL again, after meeting at the TravelWise Travel Show on Main Street in Saco in January. Word has it that Beth Rogers of Saco’s TravelWise was mentioned as one of the top 7 RCCL sellers in the area in the last year. Congratulations, Beth!

The Blue Elephant is excited to see that southern Maine’s newest event facility is nearing completion! The Landing at Pine Point, by Cityside Events will be ready for business in May of 2009.The Landing promises to become Maine’s premiere venue for weddings, corporate, private and non-profit events. The Landing is also a full concert venue featuring a wide variety of public performances and select events.
Fausto and Reuben took a tour today of the construction site today, and are looking forward to the possibility of bringing the Blue Elephant to the Landing at Pine Point.

The Officers of the Undergraduate American Academy of Osteopathy of UNECOM are pleased to invite you to their annual benefit auction. The auction will be held at Run of the Mill Pub and Brewery, Thursday, March 12, from 5:30-8:30 pm. The Run of the Mill is located at 100 Main Street, Saco Island - the old mill complex just as you go over the Saco Bridge.There will be a live auction of fantastic items plus snacks and live music by UNECOM students. Reuben and Fausto attended a fundraiser for a great local orgainzation on Sunday! Ferry Beach Ecology School hosted its second annual Eco Appetito event in Portland, on March 08.The afternoon highlighted the best food and drink Maine has to offer - local meats and seafood, area artisan cheeses, fresh pasta, hand-crafted beers, and area wines.
The boys made it on to the news, along with Saco’s Joe and Andrea Moreshead, owners of Precision Screw Machine Parts. Click here to see the clip!
