The new (and completely green) Saco Transportation Center opened today! A program including remarks by Saco Mayor Ron Michaud, former Mayor Mark Johnston, Congresswoman Chellie Pingree, and Saco Planning and Development Director Peter Morelli welcomed the large crown to the new facility. 18 years in the making, the transportation center offers access to Amtrack’s Downeaster train service as well as 5,000 square feet of usable space. It is also the new home of the Biddeford-Saco Chamber of Commerce. Blue Elephant says “hooray!” to this great new addition to Saco’s downtown landscape.
