Just a note to state the obvious. The flowers around Saco’s Main Street look fantastic. Thanks to Saco Spirit and (Johanna Hoffman in particular) for all of the great color! We all appreciate it.

Sir John Templeton

Sir John Templeton died today. He was a good guy, who spent a great deal of his life dedicated to the search for a higher purpose. Reuben worked for the John Templeton Foundation in Pennsylvania, and enjoyed being briefly part of his journey. For more information on Sir John and his work, visit www.templeton.org. It is good stuff.

Andrea Cochrane at the Blue Elephant

Our new friend Andrea Cochrane announced recently that she will be leaving her position as the director of the Saco Museum this summer. Andrea has decided that her true calling is to work with young people, and is leaving Maine to work with Americorps in New Orleans. We will all miss her, and wish her well in this new phase of her life. She says she plans to keep us in touch with her blog. We promise to send photos of the snow.
